Hullabaloo Children's Studio in Mumbai, offers classes in arts, music, storytelling, STEM, among others. Their classes are curated to engage and inspire children to imagine and create newness. UrbanApa X Ateneum: In the Deep / On the Surface

2023
Helsinki

Visual Identity for a Contemporary Performance Festival

A dynamic visual identity centered around a texture in motion. An experimental video-based poster & event communications. The thematic landscape of the festival was in the deep / on the surface. The curators ask: What kinds of things are present and in motion? Already identifiable? What kinds of things are just taking shape? What is surfacing in different contexts? Or what kinds of things are under the surface or in the depths? How can working and doing be many things at once – deep, pleasurable, light, subversive? Playful, feminist and communal? Or utopian?

Curated by Emmi Venna and Sonya Lindfors.

UA mini residencies

2022
Helsinki

Visual identity & communication design for short artists’ residencies in Finland.

The visual identity is rooted in the idea of smallness, nurture, care and growth. The main idea is simple: tiny houseplants growing out of tiny cups that act almost like a mini-residency–a small place for nurture and growth. The houseplants are blooming and thriving in their tiny cups, alluding to the resident artists in the mini-residencies.

Konvolv

2020
Helsinki

Visual identity for a new media art cooperative

Konvolv is new media art cooperative engaged in experiential art, creative tech education, and new media consultation. After becoming a member of the co-op, as the resident Visual Artist, I was asked to design a visual identity. The word Konvolv is a play on the word Convolution, a mathematical operation on two functions that produces a third function, which ties in with the cooperative's focus on transmedia experimentation to push boundries of creative technology, art and activism. The visual identity uses a custom typeface designed with glyphdrawingclub.com. The design of the typeface is inspired by the concept of convolution, visually represented as two different kinds of signal waves convoluting to produce the letters.

Kin animal care

2017
New Delhi

Veterinary clinic & animal rescue centre

A proposed animal rescue centre and vet clinic, 'Kin' stands for protection, comfort, and companionship. I was hired to establish the brand identity, name and communication strategy. The visual identity presents itself as constantly changing across various touchpoints, without losing its essence or recall value. Apart from representing the brand as energetic and evolving, it is useful for Kin to represent a wide ‘range’ of animals it serves.
